Saturday Maree, Paul & Mum came down to spend the night at Blairgowrie. Barry & I went around to the house they rented and cooked a nice roast for dinner instead of going out. It was really nice to catch up with Mum after 10 weeks of being away. Sunday, is the family memorial for Dad & Steven at Sorrento. We were lucky to have a lovely sunny day once again for our picnic on the beach. Sunday night is the last night in the caravan and Monday we head home after 10 fabulous weeks of travel.
This Blog is now closed and we are planning the next trip...........

Friday 10th April 2015 - Blairgowrie
Decided to go over to Queenscliff on the Ferry today for a look around and have lunch. Lovely day, nice and sunny and quite warm. The bonus on the way home was a half dozen dolphins swimming through the ferry wake, magic.

Thursday 9th April 2015 - Blairgowrie
Have arrived at The Blairgowrie Caravan Park and plan on staying here for 4 nights. The owner is a real character and loves a chat. He has had the park for 50 years and has quite a few rules & regulations. There is no camping or permanents here, only annuals and caravaners. Nice and quiet and very handy for the family memorial day on Sunday at Sorrento. Went for a drive into Sorrento to have a look at the camping site that was allocated to us before we decided to stay at Blairgowrie, thank goodness we didn't come down to Sorrento, no room to get our caravan onto the site that was allocated, they obviously have no idea.........Then went for a drive down to Portsea and the Port Nepean National Park where you can now drive further into the park than I remember years ago. Had a look at Portsea back beach as well as Sorrento back beach, stunning scenery. Took some photos of the Ferry arriving at Sorrento and then had a little shop around the shops.
Love Port Phillip Bay and the Mornington Peninsula.

Tuesday 7th April 2015 - Deniliquin
Have been camping at Deniliquin since Wednesday 1st April. Jason and the boys arrived and stayed in their camper beside us overlooking the Edwards River for the easter break. Organised to have wood delivered as there was none around for collection and there were a lot of people all wanting wood for fires. Managed to cook a magnificent lamb roast in the camp oven and made a batch of damper which the boys loved smothered in Nutella, also enjoyed a few toasted marshmallows. On Thursday night we all walked to the Sky Dragon chinese restaurant for dinner, once again it was a great meal which everyone enjoyed. Saturday night was a very special night with a Lunar Eclipse that started at 9.16pm. I sat up and watched the actual eclipse that happened between 10.58pm thru to 11.02pm stunning night with beautiful clear cloud free skies and a red moon to cap it off. Checked out the Deniliquin market on Monday after the boys left and then on Tuesday it started to rain, excellent timing to get the camper packed before it got wet..
Aiden waiting to go fishing with Barry once again, he is really enjoying the fishing experience and has become quite the excellent caster. Such a pity he didn't catch any fish although he did get a couple of bites to keep him interested.
Nathan & Aiden with Max the very well behaved dog.

Fisherman Aiden, doing a great job.
