HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY TO MY ELDEST GRANDSON LIAM.
On the road by 8.00am and heading towards Burra and then down to Renmark. Maree & Paul have headed in the opposite direction and visiting Broken Hill which they haven't been to before. We will meet up at Mildura on Tuesday at this point. We had three glorious days weatherwise and managed to see heaps of interesting scenery and sights at the Flinders Ranges, and being able to swim was an absolute bonus. Cradock is the first town we pass through and there is a very strong community feel here. Next is Carrieton (again very interesting history), and then Walloway where there is a monument to a train crash. Brunch at Peterborough then down to Terowie, Hallett and Burra. Stopped at Mt.Bryan to take some photos of a blade off a wind turbine which is HUGE.......An afternoon break at Morgan where the Noaralunga Sea Scouts were having a regatta on the Murray. Our camp tonight is at Herons Bend which is behind the Overland Corner Hotel and a beautiful spot right on the Murray River. Pelicans and houseboats and no one else around, very peaceful.
