Wednesday 18th March 2015 - Gol Gol

A bit of sightseeing and a small repair to the couch in the caravan makes up our day today. First we went to have a look at the old Mildura Cemetery and then a drive through The Apex Park and to finish off we managed to watch the paddlesteamer Melbouirne come up to Lock 11 and then go through it.  The water is let into the Lock so that the boat rises so it can be let out the other end where the water is higher....fascinating. Then we went to have a drink at the longest bar at the Working Man's Club only to find out that it was demolished in 1995.

The paddlesteamer Melbourne arriving at the Lock and waiting for the water to rise so it can leave again through the other end.

This is the old way that the Lock was opened and closed.....
