Sunday 22nd March 2015 - Gol Gol

Over the last couple of days we have done a lot more sightseeing as well as a lot of relaxing.  Yesterday we went to visit The Olde Lolly Shoppe which had heaps of old fashioned lollies I haven't seen in ages.  Managed to limited myself to just a few packets, so pretty happy with myself. Then we went down to Red Cliffs to visit Big Lizzie which has an interesting history to tell. Last night when we were just finishing dinner there were fireworks on the otherside of the river, they were spectacular and went on for 30 minutes at least. When they finished unfortunately the music started and I had to go for the ear plugs again to get some sleep.  Not sure what that was all about as there wasn't anything advertised in the Mildura papers.  Today we headed up to Langtree Mall to have a look at the Market.  When we arrived there were 100's of motorbikes all waiting to head off on the Black Dog Awareness Ride.  It looked really great with the amount of riders involved. We also went for a drive to try to find out what the fireworks were all about.  All we could find was the Mildura Racecourse and a huge Marquee that was being dismantled. Hot enough for a swim this afternoon (35degrees) and tomorrow we head down to Cohuna.
