At last the wind has stopped and it is a glorious day, expected top temp 30 deg here in Port Fairy. We all went for a walk this morning along the walking track out of the caravan park towards Griffiths island and right around the island which in itself is over 3kms. Very interesting information along the way about the Lighthouse and the inhabitants that were there all those years ago manning it. Griffiths Island is also the home of the Shearwater (Mutton Bird) which is a fascinating story about where they migrate from to breed here on Griffiths Island. So a very interesting and fascinating walk to start the day. Maree & I then walked back into Port Fairy to check out the "Booteek" shopping....and not too bad at all. Meanwhile Barry & Paul were back at the caravan park washing the cars and caravans, as they would be!!!! A nice quiet afternoon with Barry fishing and me having a catch up on my reading. Maree & Paul went for a drive to see if Barry caught any fish, but unfortunately not. Tomorrow morning we are heading towards Nelson.
Happy Hour at Port Fairy Caravan Park..
