Yambuk was the first town we went thru on the Henty Hwy to Portland today. Drizzly but quite warm day and positive it is going to really warm up later. Checking out the radar and looking at all of Australia the only cloud is over us.....typical. Codrington is the next little settlement we pass thru and it is here that there is a huge wind farm. Not sure if I like them all that much but I think the alternative with the open cuts and smoke stacks spewing smoke into the atmosphere is much worse. Stopped at Portland and had a look thru the TI, then strolled thru the Foreshore Market as well as managed to browse thru a "Booteek". Now we are going onto Nelson, a lovely little spot right beside the water where there were a few enormous Pelicans sitting on the edge of the water, a very pretty place. This is our lunch stop today before going down to Port MacDonnell, which is the Rock Lobster Capital of SA, apparently. Didn't manage to find any Rock Lobster and have decided to bypass Mt.Gambier and head straight for Beachport where we are going to stay for 2 nights. Maree, Paul & Barry all went for a walk while I did the Blog. Really warm when they headed off and while they were gone the fog rolled in, it was very spooky. Apparently this is what happens here after it has been a warm to hot day.
