Today our journey takes us thru Warrnambool where we will do a spot of
shopping and then on to Port Fairy for a couple of nights. We can now say that we have travelled the
entire length of the Great Ocean Road.
Last town on the Great Ocean Road is Nullawarre and if you blinked you
would miss it. Countryside is much drier
than Gippsland but very pretty. On the
side of the road there are wild blackberry bushes growing everywhere and last
night on Barry’s walk he managed to find a few bushes and had a few to
eat. Unfortunately he didn’t have a
container with him to bring some back for me, better luck next time, I love
blackberries. Lunch stop today was at
Warrnambool near the breakwater and marine park. Very, very windy here and looking out to the
waves crashing over the rocks is quite spectacular. Staying at Port Fairy Caravan
Park and have been for a walk along the river walk track and into town. Beautiful town and hope that tomorrow this
bloody wind stops so we can really enjoy it. Decided to go up to the chinese/japanese restaurant called Kung Fu Kitchen for dinner tonight. It is still so windy here that we were unable to cook outside so going out was the answer. Fantastic meal which we all enjoyed and the chef was pretty good looking too. Nothing like a bit of "eye candy" while you are eating your dinner....
