23 degrees and drizzly to start the day. Radar says Paynesville is the only place
getting this rain so we should drive out of it pretty soon. Certainly not cold. We are heading to the Anglesea Beachfront
Caravan Park for our first night. Barry
& I have stayed there before and it is a lovely caravan park bordered by
the river and the ocean. Lunch stop at Yarragon, no rain, and quite warm when
the sun comes out from behind the clouds.
Had a stop for petrol at Avalon Rest Area and managed to buy some
beautiful Mangos for 50 cents each. They
are soooo yummy. Have to add a little story here…..this is where Maree filled
their toilet with chemicals and used it for the first time, she was actually a
bit “miffed” that it didn’t close and asked Barry to have a look at it. When we stopped at Anglesea to book into the
caravan park Maree came up to us to let us know that the toilet was actually
missing………apparently it was left out when the caravan went to have the side
repaired. We are getting so much mileage
out of this one, lucky she is a good sport. Russell & Margaret (friends of
Maree & Paul’s) came down from Ocean Grove to have dinner with us tonight. We all walked over to Rose Chinese
Restaurant for a really nice meal. First
night in the van and already right back into the swing of it. Very comfy.
